The Last Thing That I Need

(GIDDYUP)
2007-11-01
Michael Allen Ott
The mornin' sky is low and grey.
Looks like another rainy day.
Thunder on the open range.
As I ride.
Yesterday in Abilene
she said she didnt care for me.
She said she had to set me free
and she didnt cry.

The last thing that I need
is her haunting memory.
Tryin' to catch up with me
as I ride.
I pull my hat down over my eyes
so nobody don't see me cry.
I found out her love was just a lie.
Like the good in goodbye.

I ride along and try to find
someway to ease my troubled mind.
someway to leave the hurt behind
in yesterday.
I loved her like there was
no tomorrow
but she left my heart in sorrow.
Another day could not be borrowed.
So I rode away.

The last thing that I need
is her haunting memory.
Tryin' to catch up with me
as I ride.
I pull my hat down over my eyes
so nobody don't see me cry.
I found out her love was just a lie.
Like the good in goodbye.

How much longer will I ride?
Until I leave her love behind?

The last thing that I need
is her haunting memory.
Tryin' to catch up with me
as I ride.
I pull my hat down over my eyes
so nobody don't see me cry.
I found out her love was just a lie.
Like the good in goodbye.
